Books I read

A small shelf of books that left something behind.

Not a complete library, and not a ranked list. I keep non-fiction and fiction separate because they leave different kinds of marks.

A practical guide to building semantic knowledge systems, progressing through controlled vocabularies, metadata schemas, taxonomies, thesauri, ontologies, and knowledge graphs, with guidance on standards, validation, and governance.

My comment

I have always been skeptical of graph databases, but this book is helping me understand the framework around them and giving me reasons to reconsider them for future projects. I still wonder whether advances in AI models might eventually make them irrelevant.
